This is a "back to the roots"-design. Or at least back to a gone era when Polan was an East Block nation. The shirt is so boring, it becomes interesting. One logo on left chest (the player's right) and the Eagle chrest on right. And the number - just enough modernistic - in the middle. The shirt needs close study to be fully appreciated. Some nice fabric-patterns there.

Conclusion. Plain puma-design. A Poland shirt as it should be. No nonsense and I like it. Dice roll: 4

When I see the Costa Rica shirt I think Adobe Illustrator. Did the Joma designer of this kit just find the splatter effect brush on Illustrator and thought that could look cool? What was he/her thinking? Maybe they weren't? Maybe the Chairman's ten year old son had a go at the design and no one in the Joma company had the guts to say anything? Because this design is poor. The only cool thing about this shirt is the border seam on the sleve.

What could the two paint brush marks that goes from the left arm and over the chest possibly represent? That the players are artists? - In that case... maybe the design is a STROKE of genious after all.

Conclusion: I give it to them for thinking new and different. But I think it is too "messy" with the splatter strokes.

Diceroll: 3

So here we are again. The time where every man becomes a boy. The latest moves and dribble is tested on the local football field, inspired from what we have seen on television. The World Cup in football is upon us. And I must admit I don't know all the teams who are playing and when they are palying. I don't have the full overview on who the surprise team will be, although I understand the Ivory Coast are an outsider who can go far. My favorite team are very comon: Brazil and England. It would be fun to see England go all the way. And of course I want to see most of the brilliance and skills of the Brazilian team. But I simply haven't enough background knowlegde to come with expert statements. I will leave that to the experts (i.e. Erik Pettersen hehe)

I thought I should share my view on the World Cup design of the Shirt.

So here we go:

We start with the host nation, Germany:

The Germany shirt is as always white. It has elements of the colour of the flag -black, red and yellow, which is an interesting colour combination in it self. It is an adidas-design and is fairly simple and a main stream. No big surprises here. The number on the left chest has a design inspired from the typeface used under the Summer Olympics in Mexico in 1968. This runtrack style typeface seems to never leave fashion. And I guess it is fitting for adidas to use the stripe-theme since they are the "brand with the three stripes". The badge is on right side which is the most common.

Conclusion: An up to date, fashionable design, which means it looks good, but it will not last long before it is out of date and boring.

Diceroll: 3
